Sweet music

04 May 2010

One of the most joyful exhibitions we’ve seen in a while - a gallery becomes an aviary full of finches and electric guitars!

French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot’s specially commissioned installation at the Barbican Curve gallery is a strangely captivating, soothing world, where tiny zebra finches fly about a landscape of wood, sand, grass… and electric guitars and cymbals. As the birds fly, land, feed or investigate, the instruments add their sounds to those of the happy little birds. This is a musical experience like no other.

Better be quick to catch it - last day is 23rd May.
